IMPORTANT
NOTICE
April 23, 2013
Parents,
On Thursday May 9th,
the Raymond Elementary School is celebrating its 50th Anniversary!
To celebrate, the school will be honoring a variety of dignitaries (from past
teachers to current political leaders) and holding an assembly to “look back to
the 60’s” when the school was first opened. The children have been practicing
their performance piece Surfin’ in the
USA by the Beach Boys (released in 1963) for quite some time! Please note: The assembly is for current students, staff
and invited guests only.
In order for all of the students to have the opportunity to be involved in the celebrations, some changes had to be made and there will be NO PM CLASS.

**I NEED YOUR HELP!** This coming Monday, we have been
asked to tie dye t-shirts to go with the 60s theme and I need some parent
helpers! 2+ in the morning (8:45 - 9:15) and 2+ in the afternoon (12:30 -
1:00). I will also need a parent volunteer for each class who will take these
shirts home and dry them for us.
Thank you for all your help in advance. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
